5. The Seven Apostate Wood Materials (Revelation Chapters 2–3)

Letter Date: March, 80
Letter Background:
After Opyeongho first met Samson in ’71 and joined the Tabernacle in ’75, he became the chairman of the Tabernacle Temple council on March 14, ’80 (perishing after 14 years, like Lot in Luke 17:28). Like Delilah, he proceeded to cut off seven strands of Samson’s hair (cf. Judges 16:19) and advocated piety as a means to abolish evil (cf. Nahum 1:11). By deceiving others with the claim that the harsh reality of the Tabernacle Temple could be overcome through the support of the three top Presbyterian churches—comparable to Egypt—he eventually achieved his purpose by seizing the Tabernacle’s ecclesiastical authority. In his letter, he exhorted those present to join forces against (without colluding with) these groups and to escape, for staying would lead to collective ruin.

Revelation 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

In the past, Shincheonji taught that there was physical fulfillment in this Bible verse, and they taught their names.

Lee Man Hee is a measure of wheat and the three people are three measures of barley(marked in red)

Shincheonji’s doctrine of the Revelation requires physical fulfillment. Who are those 3 people?

1. Yoon YoHan (missing)

He was in the Tabernacle Temple, former 7educators former (Seoul) James tribe leader

There have been rumors that he is dead, but it is not clear whether he is actually dead or alive. He has not been seen in Shincheonji for almost a decade

추수 때에는 오직 예수님께 추수되어 가는 알곡 성도만이 구원을 얻는다. 선민 영적 이스라엘(해, 달, 별)에 종말이 오면, 그 가운데 알곡 성도들이 추수되어 영적 새 이스라엘의 열두 지파를 이룬다. 한 지파에 1만 2천 명씩 14만 4천 명이 새 나라 곧 영적 새 이스라 엘의 제사장이 되고, 그 후 몰려오는 흰 옷 입은 큰 무리는 열두 지 파의 성도가 되어 구원받는다.
주 재림 사건을 말한 요한계시록에 보면, 주께서 왕래하시던 일 곱 교회(계 1:13, 계 2:1) 성도들이 우상의 제물을 먹고 니골라당의 교훈을 들으며 음녀와 행음하고 있을 때(계 2장), 그 옷을 더럽히지 아니한 자 몇 명이 흰 옷을 입고 사데 교회에서 나와 주와 함께 다 닌다(계 3:4). 그리고 예수님께서 봉한 책의 인을 떼어 배도한 일곱 교회 성도들을 심판하실 때 밀 한 되와 보리 석 되를 그 가운데서 겨우 건졌다(계 6:6 참고). 밀 한 되와 보리 석 되는 적은 무리의 성 도를 가리킨다. 이들은 사데에서 나온 흰 옷 입은 몇 명과 같은 존 재로 영적 새 이스라엘을 창조하는 씨앗이 된다. 하나님께서는 이 들을 들어 열두 지파를 만드신다.

4. Salvation in Spiritual Israel

At the time of the harvest, only the elect believers who are reaped to Jesus will receive salvation. When the end comes for the chosen Spiritual Israel (the sun, moon, and stars), the elect believers among them will be harvested to form the twelve tribes of the spiritual new Israel. In each tribe, 12,000 individuals—totaling 144,000—will become the priests of the new nation, namely, the spiritual new Israel, and thereafter the great multitude clad in white that gathers will be recognized as the saints of the twelve tribes and be saved.

In Revelation, which speaks of the Lord’s Second Coming, it is noted that while the saints of the seven churches with whom the Lord had dealings (Rev 1:13; Rev 2:1) were consuming the offerings of idols, heeding the teaching of the Nicolaitans, and engaging in immorality and fornication (Revelation chapter 2), a few who had not defiled their garments put on white robes and emerged from the church in Sardis to stand with the Lord (Rev 3:4). Furthermore, when Jesus removes the seal from the book and judges the apostate saints of the seven churches, only a measure of wheat and a measure of barley are barely saved from among them (see Rev 6:6). This measure of wheat and barley represents the small remnant of saints. These individuals, akin to the few in white who emerged from Sardis, become the seeds that create the spiritual new Israel. God, in turn, uses them to form the twelve tribes.

A measure of wheat, and three measures of barley refers to a small group of saints. These are the seeds that create a new spiritual Israel, like the few people dressed in white who came out of the Church of Sardis.(underlined in red)

Revelation3:4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy

Is it biblical that these people are dying of cancer, missing or expelled?

Current members should ask their leaders, “Who are the members of the ‘small group of saints’?”

In the past, Shincheonji taught that there was physical fulfillment in the 7 bowls of Revelation Chapter 16, and they taught their names.

1. SSN Lee Man Hee
2. Hong JongHyo Hong Jong Hyo claimed to be the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and left the Shincheonji
3. Ji JaeSeop He was expelled from Shincheonji
4. Lee JongHo He said he did not believe in Shincheonji and left Shincheonji
5. Yang EulGyu He left Shincheonji together with Hong Jong-hyo
6. Kim DaeWon He worked hard to inform people that Shincheonji was a scam
7. Shim JaeKwon He left Shincheonji because the doctrine of reality was not correct.

 

Shincheonji interprets the bowl as a person. If so, Shincheonji should be able to name that person.

I don’t know what Shincheonji taught recently, but Shincheonji’s doctrine requires physical fulfillment

1 Corinthians 13:12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

The more the word is fulfilled, the clearer it should be, but it seems to be getting more and more ambiguous

“Does a cow become a pig just because it has a pig’s hair on it?”, he is the tribe leader who taught that even if the physical fulfillment of Shincheonji slightly changes, it does not matter if you look at the bigger picture

Thank you for putting this together! This is definitely information that is hidden from overseas congregations and is not taught during the Revelation fulfillment. We always learn that the “enemies of SCJ” are the ones who are killed by accidents, go missing, or die of cancer—but we never hear that it is SCJ’s own people who suffer these things, especially those important to SCJ’s fulfillment.

  The “official” reason was that he was expelled because he had not evangelized for three years. This was announced in SCJ Korea. Soon after, there was a notice that Mr. Choi was involved in creating his own sect. I have a document (not fully translated) that suggests there was a power struggle between Mr. Choi and the general manager, Mr. Goh.

This post made me learn more things than SCJ even 🤣🤣🤣. By the way, do we know the real reason why the John tribe leader was expelled? Not the bullshit of “creating sect and hot air, etc.” but the deep things? And did the expelled tribe leaders say some things? Their revelations could literally make SCJ collapse with all the information they have on LMH.

  I don’t know the true reason. When Mr. Choi was expelled, the official announcement was: “This person is being expelled because he has not evangelized for 3 years.” I also wish the expelled tribe leaders would say something.

Just wondering, is there proof that MHL used to teach the names of these 6 people as the other 6 bowls?
EDIT: Since my time in SCJ (past 4 years) I was told it just represented the saints who overcame in Revelation 12 (same as the group who came out in Revelation 6:6).

I don’t have any material that shows Lee ManHee talking directly about the 6 bowls. I captured it from an old version of the Revelation fulfillment education and SCJ’s old books. One instructor exposed SCJ, and when reporters asked him why he left, he replied, “In Shincheonji, they teach that wheat and barley in Revelation 6 never die, but one of the barley has died.”
It seems the old doctrine taught that wheat and three measures of barley are immortal. I recall that Ji JaeSeop and Hong JongHyo were definitely considered the physical fulfillment of the bowls in Revelation 16. When I attended the fulfillment education, we were taught that the Chairman—a measure of wheat—and three measures of barley were represented by Yoon JaeMyung, Yoon YoHan, and Ji JaeSeop.

Yes, I have more screenshots and text. The language barrier is a problem. In Korea, many of these materials have been posted on YouTube; the issue is that they lack English subtitles.

Very informative. I challenge new SCJ members (or “fruits”) to ask their “teachers” these questions. Like LMH said, we need to be certain about what we believe in. For certain regions, it’s surprising that some members who have been in SCJ for over 3 years still haven’t received Revelation fulfillment training. I’m not sure if the leaders are just careless or if this is a tactic to slowly change doctrines.

They won’t talk about it. When you spend at least 3 years in the cult, you can see little by little how they change things. Later, they’ll say they never taught these details and gaslight new members. It’s so sad. They’re doing this with the failed prophecy of Revelation 7—they rush through the “after this” and the physical fulfillment parts. Really a scam.
