Part 11: Why Real Jews AREN’T Being Replaced or Forgotten. And How They Are Part of Redeeming the ‘Disinherited’ Gentiles
u/Financial-Document88
Shincheonji asserts that the biblical promises and covenant with Israel have been replaced by a “new Israel” — one that is composed of their followers. According to this interpretation, God has abandoned the traditional Israel of the Old Testament in favor of a new spiritual Israel, a community centered around Shincheonji’s teachings. This is unbiblical. Scripture consistently emphasizes that God has not forgotten His covenant with Israel, and the promises made to the Jewish people remain in place, both in the Old and New Testaments.
God’s Covenant with Israel Is Unbreakable
The foundational mistake in Shincheonji’s theology lies in the claim that God has replaced Israel with a new group, defined by its allegiance to Lee Man-hee and Shincheonji’s teachings. This contradicts the Bible’s portrayal of God’s covenant with Israel as unbreakable and eternal.
- God’s Everlasting Covenant with Israel
In Genesis 17:7-8, God promises Abraham that His covenant with Israel is everlasting:
“I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. The whole land of Canaan, where you now reside as a foreigner, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God.”
This promise is unequivocal: God’s covenant with Israel is eternal. - God Will Not Forget Israel
In Isaiah 49:14-16, God reassures Israel that He will never forget them:
“But Zion said, ‘The Lord has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me.’ Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”
The New Covenant Does Not Abandon Israel
Shincheonji’s belief in a “new Israel” is contradicted by the Bible’s portrayal of the New Covenant. While the New Covenant in Christ expands salvation to the Gentiles, it does not abolish or replace God’s relationship with Israel.
- The New Covenant Includes Israel
In Jeremiah 31:31-34, God promises a new covenant with the house of Israel and Judah:
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah… I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” - Paul’s Teaching on Israel’s Role in Salvation
In Romans 11:1-2, Paul writes:
“I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew.”
Paul continues in Romans 11:25-26:
“Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved.”
The Church Is Not a Replacement for Israel
Shincheonji teaches that the church or “spiritual Israel” has replaced physical Israel, but the Bible presents the church as grafted into the promises made to Israel, not as a replacement. In Romans 11:17-18, Paul uses the image of an olive tree to describe how Gentile believers are included in God’s promises.
Conclusion
Shincheonji’s claim that God has replaced Israel with a new “spiritual Israel” is unbiblical. The Bible consistently affirms that God’s covenant with Israel remains intact and unbroken, and that Israel has a future role in God’s redemptive plan. The New Covenant in Christ does not replace Israel but fulfills God’s promises to them. Gentiles, through faith in Christ, are grafted into the blessings of that covenant, but they do not replace Israel.

We await evidence how so – enlighten us. We’ll be waiting.

Listen, you are spot on! I’ve been studying through Scripture and saw the same. God does not replace His people indefinitely, even though they failed in the past. Even Paul tells Christians not to think they are superior (Romans 11:18). The way was made open until the full number of Gentiles is complete, and then the way opens up for the Jews again.
Would you also be interested in doing a post about Ezekiel? It’s been amazing reading it from chapter 1 and seeing the lies unfold about SCJ’s interpretation of the encrusted pot. This was a big eye-opener for me. Their teaching on the encrusted pot and them as a new pot is a total lie and a misrepresentation of what that whole chapter, let alone the whole book of Ezekiel, was talking about.

Yes! I’ve got many more notes from what I had with SCJ that I’m slowly trying to make lessons of why they are false when reading and studying the Bible in correct context. Eventually, I’d definitely like to put a lesson on how SCJ uses the book of Ezekiel.

Thank God and Jesus Christ for appointing Paul 🙏 (Romans 11) definitely makes that really clear. There were also many Jews who accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. Still, even today, there are Jews who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. I believe Apostle Paul over Lee any day of the week.

Indeed! Lee Man Hee is unfortunately just lost in the darkness of human doctrine (possibly demonic in nature as well given the history and system the organization functions throughout the years). It breaks my heart hearing every time when a group, organization, cult, etc., preaches ‘replacement theology’ when Scriptures from Old Testament to New Testament agree on each other how Yahweh isn’t breaking His promise. That He indeed fulfilled His promise to use Israel to win the whole world/Gentiles back to Him.
Romans 15:9-12: “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing the praises of your name.” Again, it says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him.” And again, Isaiah says, “The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope.”
Unfortunately SCJ will sidestep important details like these in scriptures. I pray that scales come off finally to more and all SCJ members to see how ‘deprived’ they are. Fully deprived! Of Spiritual Food when in the novice ranks leafs and teachers ironically sells to newcomers that ‘SCJ feeds meat not milk’ (but will only give you ‘meats approved by them’). Shalom!
